Day 135

All of a sudden Dexter became a little mover. He's a fan of cruising over to the window and looking outside. He's such a goof!

Day 133

I got really bad about taking pictures. I think I have some on my phone, but I'll have to check later. Oops!

This night we opened up a new package of his baby spoons. They are soft and not hard plastic like we'd been using. This means that Dexter can bite them and then it's harder to get them out of his mouth. He thinks that this is hilarious!

Day 121

Dex got an adorable t-shirt from the library of congress from Grandma. This is him modeling for us in the hotel :-)

Day 120

A couple days into our Washington DC vacation! We went to the FBI building and then to the White House (lots of walking and metro rides)! Grandma Kim took a turn with Dexter in the baby bjorn and Dex thought it was pretty cool while Grandma was taking a picture of the FBI building and he tried to help her out.

On the way to the White House Dexter fell asleep and he missed it. Luckily we got a picture of him in front still :) (we had to stay pretty far away because there was an event at the White House that night).

Day 114

Easter Sunday!!!

We had a great Easter. My grandma always has a huge buffet breakfast at her house so we went to my parents house the night before and spent all day Easter Sunday with family.

Dexter made out like a bandit with toys from me and Grandma Kim (we were both anticipating the plane ride in 3 days so he got a lot of toys for that). He also got some books and puffs!

Then we went to Church in Barstow with Grandma Mack and had a lot of fun. Dexter sat patiently in the pew for church to start.

St. Paul's even included Dexter in the egg hunt and gave him a basket! (don't worry the grass in the basket got taken away promptly after this picture was taken)

Then we headed to Grandma Faye's house for brunch and an Easter egg hunt! Dexter got HUGE Easter eggs filled with adorable presents from Grandma Faye, Aunt Kim and Aunt Carrie. Here is Dexter, totally enamored with his egg instead of taking a cute picture with his cousin Maddie.

Day 113

Dexter got his second haircut in time for our vacation to Washington. He is such a great kid and sits happily while his hair gets cut. I think he likes all of the attention from the women at the salon ;)

Day 112

He hasn't quite got the hang of standing up yet. He's still a little wobbly and doesn't really know what to do once he stands up using his lion bench.

Day 111

We are not a co-sleeping family. I don't sleep well with Dexter in bed, or really even in our room for that matter. When he was a newborn he slept in a cradle next to our bed, and I was sad when we moved him out but that was until I realized how much better I sleep with him in his own crib. Every once in a while though we cave and let Dex sleep in our bed. This is usually when he isn't feeling well and won't let us lay him down in his crib and he just screams. This is also usually on a weeknight and I will do whatever it takes to get sleep, even if it is crappy sleep. This morning, Dex wasn't feeling well and he finally relaxed in our bed. Who knew that a little baby could take up so much room!

After resting in mom and dad's bed, he definitely felt better. Good morning!!

Day 110

Today Dex was cranky and wide awake despite it being bedtime. So we walked around the living room and kitchen (he actually prefers to walk holding onto our hands) This kid has no interest in crawling, just prefers to walk so we don't fight it :) He wanted to see the cats so we climbed the stairs. I kept laughing at the baby jail.

Day 109

Dex is turning into such a ham for the camera!

Day 107

He is getting so big!! We had some errands to run and since he wasn't tired we just put him in the cart like a big boy! I think he really enjoyed being able to see everything going on around him.

Day 106

After we went to see the Easter Bunny, we changed Dex out of his adorable, but warm, Easter outfit and let him check out the grass at the Americana. He really liked it.

Day 105

Dex finds new ways of cracking me up everyday. Today I was going to take his picture because he was laughing at nothing and just being adorable; however, he saw that camera and laid his head down on my leg. It was so cute and definitely showed how much of a momma's boy he is (which is ok for now) :)

Day 104

He stood up using his lion bench and then didn't know what to do.

We finally got around to taking Dexter's 7 month pictures today. Here is one of mine.

Day 101

Albert put Dex in his walker and apparently his toes can finally, just barely, touch the ground. He's a huge fan of being able to move around.

Day 99

Dexter's cousin Maddie had her third birthday party today! We all had a good time. Luckily Dex was mostly over his bronchiolitis that had him down for the count earlier in the week. I, however, was not feeling well and had a pretty nasty sore throat and wound up napping in the middle of the party. This is apparently what happens when Mom is napping :)

One of the games was to see who could get all of the gumballs into a 2 litter bottle fastest, kind of like an hourglass. Dex was amused by the "big ass rattle" as my dad called it.

Day 98

Grandma figured out that if you spin in circles Dex loves it. I'm pretty sure we're never going to be able to get this kid off of roller coasters when he is older.

Day 97

Uncle Jake and Aunt Julie came over for dinner. He pretty much adores his Aunt Julie!

Day 96

He is slowly getting more and more mobile. As we were hanging out and playing with toys on the couch he decided that he needed to check out what was down on the floor and got himself to the edge of the couch to look over the edge. (don't worry, you can't see my hand that had a hold of his legs)

He then looked up at me like "there is some cool stuff down there!"

Day 95

Today Dex decided that he didn't need his hands to play with his toy, his feet worked just as well.

Day 93

Day 92

We went to a food truck festival at the Santa Anita racetrack today. They kitty thought Dex looked very cute in his dinosaur outfit, but the fresh air made Dex very tired and he spent the festival asleep in his stroller.

Day 91

The cat was messing with Dexter and it was hilarious. Elwood was sitting on the top of the couch resting his paws on Dexter's head and Dex couldn't figure out what was going on.

Day 89

Poor bugs fell asleep mid bottle.
